It was another gorgeous morning in Waikiki. The sun was brightly shining with a fairly strong breeze blowing down the street and into my home/office/compound/magic-making headquarters. After filling a cup with my morning brew, I sat down to get some work done. I was delighted to see an email from an adoring fan in my inbox. I always am. There’s no better way to start the day than by reading how something I wrote impacted a person (all kidding aside, receiving those messages is an awesome gift).

I rolled over, saw Diane and the dogs still in bed and noticed the clock said 8:00 AM. After a couple adventurous days, I figured Diane wanted to sleep in.
We both arose and leashed the dogs for their morning stroll; normally a task Diane embarks on alone. I decided to join them, stopping by the local ABC store to plug my body with its necessary fix. That’s where it started.…
