Ask Paul E Lama
Why I Hate Religion, But Love Santa Claus
What if I told you, I, too, hate your religion?
To be happy, passionate, and prosperous and help others is my only mission
I really enjoyed your video, but if I may be so bold
You’re still waxing poetic about the greatest story ever told
Christmas just passed, holiday parties were ragin’
What if I told you, Christmas was originally pagan
Would you get upset or angry, what other emotions would it bring
How would you feel if I told you Jesus was really born in the spring
Republicans and Democrats are really the same
Like leaders…
Paul’s Top Eleven List: Favorite Books
I love to read. I love books. One can assert that I love reading books. I haven’t purchased a kindle yet, although I’m considering it. There’s something about holding an actual book that appeals to me. I’m not sure why. My book is available on kindle and I’m starting to put more effort into promoting that version. I’ll leave my thoughts about the paper industry, rather hemp being illegal, for another blog.
People often ask for book recommendations. Generally, I tell people what I’m reading at the time. Usually that’s my favorite book. Diane and I were talking about books…
Follow the Leader
“Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
This is the quote I posted today on Facebook. In response, an old friend asked me, “Why leave a trail if you don’t want people to follow them?”
Hmmmm… good question.
The obvious answer is that Mr. Emerson was using “path” as a metaphor for thinking outside the box; although I’m not sure if that phrase had been coined yet back in his time. Have you ever noticed that many people have a goal or a dream,…
Ask Paul E. Lama: So You Wanna BE a Writer, Huh?
So you want to be a writer, huh? I used to feel the same way. And now… I AM! Since I’ve been published, many friends, associates and people I don’t really know approach me and tell me that they’re gonna write a book, too. Sometimes there’s a bit of sourness in their words, as if they’re saying, “If this motherfucker can write a book, I can, too!”
That could just be my story, but if that’s the case – I’ve got three books in under three years. How many do you have? If you think writing a book is easy,…

Secrets
We all have secrets. There are things about each and every one of us that we don’t want anyone to know. In fact, I bet there are secrets buried so deep within some of us that we’ve consciously forgotten that they’re there. But they’re still there; buried in the subconscious affecting every decision we make. I’ve shared most of my secrets. In fact, I’m not sure that I have any secrets left to tell. Even after sharing my secrets with certain people, I’m still allowing certain ones to have power over me.
The thing about secrets is that they keep…

Ask Paul E Lama | Self Sabotage
Dear Paul E Lama,
Do you or did you ever have a fear of success? If so how did you overcome it? I know I have self sabotage program B.S. That is associated with the self worth programs.
Sincerely,
Ralph (name changed)
Aloha Ralph,
Yeah, I used to be the captain of self sabotage. The night I enrolled into the PSI Basic Seminar, I was out drinking and partying with my friends. I got so trashed that I ended up blacking out. I had just started a new job and the following day they surprised me with a drug test,…
