Bestsellers and Bourbon
Bestsellers and bourbon. They both intoxicate me, leave me reeling and wondering how I got myself into this mess. It wasn’t necessarily my intention, yet here I am, fumbling about drooling all over myself.
The first time I heard I was a bestselling author, the world spun and I grasped the air trying not to gyrate into madness. It was a titillating elixir, promising me future grandeur and undoubted success. I was unsure of its meaning, unsure of its power and unsure that I gave a rat’s ass. I did, of course. And of course, I didn’t.
Surely it was…
What Could I Possibly Be Thankful For?
I love this time of year. For most of my life, it meant all the family would get together and enjoy a great feast and each other’s company. As a kid, I loved it when my cousins, aunt and uncle came to our house. We would pull out the old slate bumper pool table and play most of the day with football on in the background. After dinner, our family would usually all come together and play Uno or some other game. My mom would always make a little extra pumpkin pie filling and put it in a…
You’re FIRED!!!
Who am I talking about? The fucking committee living inside my head. I’m done with them. For good. Yeah, I’m talking to you. Get the fuck out of my head! NOW!!!
Okay, back to writing. Yeah, I know they probably aren’t gone for good; but it feels great anyway. Sometimes, I have to take back control of the castle. You feel me?
How about you? Do you ever get to the point where you just have to let go of that constant nagging in your head? If you’re answer is no… stop reading now and go…
For My Brothers. If…
I’m still taking in everything that was discussed on last week’s podcast. After completing Dr. John Demartini’s “Hierarchy of Values” worksheet, then doing it again on the broadcast, I’ve found myself in the wonderful place of surrender this past week. If you missed last week’s podcast, check it out here: Be About It! Radio Episode 15: This Shit Just Got Real!!! I highly recommend that you fill out the form and get your free worksheet to find out if you’re in alignment with your values. It can change your life!

Seekers of Enlightenment… did you find it yet?
I‘m not sure if you’ve heard, but I recently published a book called Wake Up! The Enlightenment of an American Misfit and Outlaw. That’s pretty exciting. I’m only asking if you’ve heard because apparently I hadn’t. Let me explain.
Last week, a good friend of mine sent me a text explaining that she was reading my book for the second time and thanked me for the inspiration. I acknowledged her with a hearty “thank you” and said that maybe one day I would read it. Later that day, another friend of mine who I hadn’t seen since the…
Be About It! Radio Episode 14: Coincidence?
Was it a coincidence that I happen to meet our guests for this week’s episode of Be About It! Radio the night before we recorded it? It may seem that way, however I don’t believe in coincidences.
After being out on the town and having a discussion about our podcast, I noticed a couple dipping in my Kool Aid. As people in the bar asked me about last week’s podcast (Question Everything!), this couple kept smiling at each other and looking my way. Per normal, I approached these strangers and introduced myself.
From there, I got…

Getting ready for Episode 12: The Rabbit Hole
Tomorrow is one of my favorite days! It’s Wednesday, February 16th and time for our next recording of Be About It! Radio. I’m not sure how many people are listening to these, although we are getting some pretty good feedback and my server has shut down due to hundreds of people listening at the same time. Let’s make it thousands!!!
As we grow, we are working on ways to make Be About It! Radio better. This means we are planning guests and topics ahead of time while allowing ourselves the space to free-flow ideas, concepts and opinions.…
An Interview with Me!
On Wednesday, December 29th, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a guest on Tiny Tadani’s radio and television show to talk about my book, Wake Up! The Enlightenment of an American Misfit and Outlaw, and discuss being a misfit and outlaw, my transformation and other exciting things happening in 2011. Check out the interview below!
BE About It Episode 5
Atlas Shrugged is one of my favorite books of all time, if not my favorite. In her magnus opus, Ayn Rand clearly outlines her philosophy which she calls Objectivism. Many people have asked me over the years why I promote her book with such enthusiasm even though Rand is an atheist. Simply put, I find Atlas Shrugged (and her other books) profoundly spiritual, regardless if that was her intention or not.
In this 5th episode of BE About It, Keala Kanae and I, along with our guests: teacher, author and philosopher, John Kredowski and owner of…
