You are the Architect of Your Life
Sometimes, it’s just a smile…
On occasion (by that I mean often), I find myself living in my head, being a little over-analytical. Just a little. Over the last five years every aspect of my life has been overhauled. I have flipped, turned inside-out and questioned my thoughts, feelings, belief systems, physical form, habits, lifestyle and relationships. Mind you, this was all done by choice and the overhaul was by design.
Initially, it was a loose design. But the more I get to know and trust who I really am, the more precise the design becomes. I get clearer, my focus narrower and I set…
FEAR: You’re not alone.

Adventure…
“…how fortunate are you and I, whose home is timelessness; we who have wandered down from fragrant mountains of eternal now to frolic in such mysteries as birth and death a day (or maybe even less).

BE About It Episode 6 – Living the Fantasy Life
Do you ever fantasize about what your dream life would look like? Does it involve living by the ocean, having your dream house or having more joy in your life? I was recently told that I live in a fantasy world. It wasn’t meant as a compliment; however after I thought about it, I realized that the life I live looks like somebody’s fantasy life. Whoa! That may be the best compliment ever paid to me.
Seriously, the life I live today used to be my fantasy. I use to daydream about writing a book, speaking in public, recording radio…
BE About It Episode 5
Atlas Shrugged is one of my favorite books of all time, if not my favorite. In her magnus opus, Ayn Rand clearly outlines her philosophy which she calls Objectivism. Many people have asked me over the years why I promote her book with such enthusiasm even though Rand is an atheist. Simply put, I find Atlas Shrugged (and her other books) profoundly spiritual, regardless if that was her intention or not.
In this 5th episode of BE About It, Keala Kanae and I, along with our guests: teacher, author and philosopher, John Kredowski and owner of…

You are… PERFECT!!!
I enjoy reading – a lot! I find many wonderful gems of knowledge in various non-fiction and fiction books. Some of my favorite authors are (but not limited to): Dan Millman, Richard Bach, Napoleon Hill, Mike Dooley, Wallace Wattles, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, John D. Fitzgerald and Louise Hay. Many of the books talk about the same subjects, albeit in different forms and voices. I find great value in reading (and listening) to these books even if they contain a lot of the same information. Repetition seems to work for me and I resonate at a deeper lever with some…
Surrounded by Beauty… Do you see it?
This morning I went for a walk through Waikiki and decided to sit on a bench and read a little bit. Looking out across the ocean, I watched local surfers catching waves and tourists amble about, enjoying the beauty offered by Waikiki Beach Park. I enjoyed it as well. It was early enough to not be surrounded by thousands of people, but late enough that there were plenty of folks to “people watch.”
Most of the folks I saw were smiling, taking pictures of the Duke Kahanamoku statue or getting ready to surf or swim. Some weren’t smiling, so I…
The Man in the Mirror
Wow! It’s only 10:38 AM and I’ve already had an amazingly wonderful day. It didn’t start out that way. In fact, the past several weeks have been a constant struggle; a struggle to find my passion, excitement and reconnect with my purpose. If you’ve read any of my previous blogs over the past month or so, you may have been able to feel it as well.
This morning, I woke up after ten hours of sleep and walked into my living room. Sitting on the coffee table was a copy of the recent Honolulu Weekly. I opened it up to…
